A deposit is payable for bookings made at least 10 weeks before the date of your holiday. For bookings made less than 10 weeks from your holiday date, full payment is required. The balance of your rental payment is to be paid 8 weeks before your holiday date. If you are unable to pay the balance for your holiday by the due date your holiday will be cancelled and the deposit will not be returned. We strongly advise that you take out a holiday insurance/cancellation policy to cover your stay. There are many insurance policies suitable for this which are available on the internet. We shall not be liable to you or any member of your party for any harm, loss or damage to person or property arising from the letting.

Tenure is from 4 pm on the day of arrival until 10 am on day of departure. The customer undertakes to keep the premises and all furniture, fittings and effects in or on the premises in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the holiday, and also undertakes to leave the premises in the same state as found. Baggage and personal belongings will at all times be the responsibility of the hirer, we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to these belongings. The owner of the cottage should be compensated for any damages or breakages which may occur.

Bicycles are not to be brought through the cottage or stored anywhere on the property.

Haven Cottage is not suitable for children under 5 years of age.

Any complaints regarding the property or facilities must be taken up with us or our housekeeper (contact details are in the handbook) immediately. We will make all reasonable efforts to solve the issue. Any problem should be reported during your holiday period; we are unable to help if you wait until you return home. The owners or our representative are to be allowed access to the property to investigate the complaint at any reasonable time during the holiday period. Any breakages should be reported to the housekeeper. Where excessive cleaning is required, or damage beyond normal wear and tear has occurred a charge will be made. Should we be dissatisfied with the condition of the cottage upon the guests departure, we may refuse to take a booking from that guest again.

The number of persons using the property is not to exceed 4. If individual party members change please inform us. Bookings will not be accepted from groups of single persons under the age of 25 and all male or all female parties. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY, WITHOUT REFUND, IF YOU ARE IN BREACH OF ANY PART OF THIS CONDITION.

We may, on occasion require access to the cottage during your stay for essential maintenance. Every effort will be made to avoid this during your holiday, but if there is no alternative we will endeavour to contact you beforehand.
